Kiln Sitter Switch Block

This is the kiln sitter switch block that cuts all of the power that travels through it.  This is done when the cone bends and the weight drops and trips the switch block.   Over the years of disconnecting the power the points on the block get pitted or corroded.  Once corrosion sets in the points cannot make a good electrical connection and the block fails do to heat build up and a bad connection.   This part usuall takes about 30 minutes to change and requires the entire panel box to be removed fron the kiln and the work done on bench.  Replace all wires that are going to the switch block that are burned or corroded looking. There needs to be clean ring connectors or heat will build and a second failure could happen sooner than the first.
