Designed for the artist who has a passion for all the fired arts! The kiln has BOTH Ceramics and Glass firing modes. The Glass mode gives the uniform top blast of heat to evenly heat the glass on the shelf with some of the side coils working to help bring the kiln to temperature. The Ceramic mode is all side-firing which is great for the ceramics and glazes. The Ceramic mode will help glass casters hold at 1700°F without overheating the lid coils. The kiln is shown with the Lid Lifter option upgrade. The lid for this kiln is extremely heavy, and the lid lifter makes opening and closing this kiln a breeze. Comes with the Orton 12-key controller, and you have the option to upgrade to the TAP controller.
