AF3P 11/9 Glass Kiln with 4" Flip Door
Part Number: AF3P 11/9 w/ 4" Flip Door
This kiln is versatile for a variety of warm glass firing techniques, making it ideal for lampworking, annealing, and fusing. It can operate as a tabletop kiln on an all-metal table or be placed on a sturdy workbench with layers of drywall board, garden pavers, and kiln base bricks to create airspace underneath. The standard Orton AutoFire 3-button controller provides customizable firing schedules for fine-tuned results and includes preprogrammed settings for bead and boro work, 25 blank programs, and large-piece and small-piece modes for kiln-formed glass fusing.
The self-supported flip door is padded with a fiber blanket and gently rests on mandrels and punties, enabling convenient side-loading. Small projects fit comfortably on its 10” round or 7” square kiln shelf. Additionally, inserting the included brick plug in the flip door opening transforms the kiln into an all-brick configuration, facilitating easy transitions to fusing and slumping processes.
