The Jen-Ken ProFusion line of fiber kilns are expertly designed for glass fusing and slumping. The ProFusion 16 is the smallest kiln in our ProFusion line and is a tabletop model, capable of reaching full fuse temperatures in approximately 1.5 hours, enabling rapid production of smaller pieces.
It offers a completely all-fiber firing environment, dramatically speeding up the firing process and ensuring consistent, efficient fusing—particularly for smaller pieces. There’s no need for a kiln shelf—users can fire directly on the kiln-washed floor or on kiln paper. Thanks to its fiber construction, the kiln cools quickly to room temperature by the next morning, making it ideal for busy studios that require multiple firings per day. The kiln includes a solid fiber shelf that provides extra protection for the floor and adds convenience.
The kiln’s clamshell-style, spring-assisted lids ensure smooth and easy opening and closing. A key benefit is the ability for artists to work directly on the kiln shelves, minimizing the risk of damage during transport into the kiln.
The kiln also comes with an integrated stand with casters, providing mobility and stability. The kiln floor is made of individual bricks, not cemented together, allowing for easy and quick replacement if needed. Kiln wash is also included to help maintain a clean firing surface.
