This versatile 11/9 glass kiln features a 4" flip door and is perfect for artists looking to explore a wide range of contemporary warm glass techniques, including lampworking, annealing, fusing, and boro work.
Despite its small footprint, the 11/9 offers ample space with its 9" depth for small-scale fired art, accommodating up to a 10" round or 7" square kiln shelf. It can function as a tabletop kiln on an all-metal table or be placed on a sturdy workbench with layers of drywall board, garden pavers, and kiln base bricks to create airspace underneath. The kiln also includes large handles for easy maneuverability and a Furniture Kit with a shelf, posts, and kiln wash.
The self-supported flip door is padded with fiber blanket and gently rests on mandrels and punties, enabling convenient side-loading. Additionally, inserting the included brick plug into the flip door opening transforms the kiln into an all-brick configuration, facilitating seamless transitions to fusing and slumping processes.
