Thermocouple Extension Wire for Digital Remotes

This high-temperature type K wire runs from your kiln's digital controller to the connecting block where the thermocouple is attached. It sends a low-voltage signal to the controller, allowing it to display the kiln's temperature accurately.

Replacing this wire typically takes about 10 minutes.

• The red thermocouple wire must connect to the red terminals on both the controller and the block, as well as the red side of the thermocouple.
  
• Improper wiring may cause the controller to show a lower temperature as the kiln heats up.
  
• Keep the thermocouple wire away from 120V or 240V high-voltage wires, as proximity can cause incorrect readings.
  
• On digital remote units, ensure the thermocouple wire does not run alongside or attach to the kiln’s power cord, as this will cause incorrect readings and potentially improper firing.
  
• The thermocouple wire should run directly to the kiln without being tied to or touching the power cord.
